June brings the official start of summer; one of the most popular seasons. While spring was the season of new life, summer is the season where that new life explodes! This year I have a yard to fill with 🌸 flowers, and I’ve done my best to take advantage of the opportunity.
One of my favorite things about summer has always been the dragonflies. I love watching them zip around, amazed at their ability to hover and dance over the water, sunlight reflecting off their wings. I was surprised to learn that dragonflies are prehistoric and shared the world with dinosaurs; I had no idea how long they’ve been here. I also discovered dragonflies have the highest success rate of any predator in the world – nearly 100%. This deadly accuracy is possible because their eyes allow them to see in all directions at once.
